BIO 444 - Independent Research

Credits: 1-3

This course is designed for students who wish to pursue a special study of some biological problem and is intended to introduce students to all phases of peer-reviewed research. The student is expected to develop a written proposal and pursue the research to some state of completion. The project should be concluded with a written scientific paper and a presentation to the campus community in a seminar format.
Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor 1-3 hours credit per term with a maximum of 9 hours credit; only a maximum of 6 hours may count towards the Biology major
