This fundamentals course introduces the general student to the basics of music theory. Topics covered will include music notation (reading pitches on various clefs, key signatures, time signatures, rhythmic values), scales, intervals, and triads. The course also serves as a review for new music majors who have not passed the music theory entrance exam.
