BUS 310 - Business Writing and Communications Credits: 3
This course provides an in-depth study of professional, techincal, and business communication with an emphasis on both written and oral forms. Students will learn to compose effective workplace documents - including correspondence, reports, proposals, manuals, protfolios, and employment materials - while also practicing oral presntations and developing design and multimedia elements for professional contexts. Attention will be given to persuasive, positive, and negative messaging; the integration of traditional and electronic media; and the study of verbal, nonverbal, and listening skills. By blending theory with practice, the course prepares students to communicate effectively, ethically, and strategically in professional and global environments.
