MUS 201 - Music Theory III

Credits: 3

A continuation of Music Theory 102, this course emphasizes altered chords, modulation, chromatic harmony, mode mixture, and twentieth century harmony. Concentrated study nineteenth, twentieth, and twenty-first-century composition techniques form the basis of MUS 201.
Prerequisite: MUS 102  with a grade of C- or higher
Corequisite: MUS 204  and MUA 261
