MUA 161 - Beginning Piano Class I

Credits: 3

This course will emphasize basic piano skills such as note reading, basic chord knowledge, playing by ear, and improvising. Students will also develop a basic technique, play elementary repertoire, and learn fundamentals of music theory. This is a beginning music course for those with little to no prior musical training, and it is suitable for students of any discipline.
Prerequisite: Instructor permission required for all non-music majors
