FA 315 - Careers in the Fine Arts

Credits: 3

This course will introduce students to the wide array of career opportunities available in the performing arts, and provide an understanding of standard business practices in the fields of feature film, television, Broadway and
Off-Broadway Theatre, professional tours, not-for-profit performing arts organizations, concert tours, and televised events. Special emphasis will be given to career strategies for the dramatic artist. Each student will
develop a professional resume/headshot/portfolio and participate in a mock interview/audition at the end of the course. Research outside of class will be required.
