FA 330 - History of Musical Theatre

This course is dedicated to studying the history of Musical Theatre. This course will track the musical from its origins in operetta and minstrelsy of the 19th century to modern 21st century musicals. It will pay attention not
only to musical form and function but societal and contemporary issues reflected in these theatrical works. The course will discuss major composers, lyricists, producers, directors, choreographers, performers, and conductors
of Musical Theatre.
