CS 455 - Advanced Database Applications Credits: 3
This course builds on the principles introduced in MIS 450- Database Development and Administration. Students will focus on efficient query processing and indexing techniques for relational, spatial, temporal and multimedia databases. In particular, efficient and scalable algorithms for clustering, association rule discovery and classification of very large datasets will be discussed. Data mining, data warehousing and security will also be addressed. Prerequisite: CS 450 ; MIS 355 is suggested Corequisite: CS 451 Offered: On demand
