CHE 421 - Physical Chemistry I

Credits: 4

This course will cover the first, second, and third laws of thermodynamics; Gibbs energy and chemical potential; chemical equilibrium; electrochemistry and ionic solutions; and an introduction to quantum mechanics. Other topics may be included at the instructor’s discretion.

Prerequisite: MAT 142 , CHE 112 , and PHY 241 
Corequisite: MAT 241
