HS 416 - National Security Law Credits: 3
This course surveys the framework of domestic laws-constitutional, statutory, and regulatory-that variously authorizes and constrains the U.S. government’s pursuit of national security policies, with an emphasis on developments in this area since 9/11. The major aim of this course is to investigate leading topics in national and homeland security law, blending a strong policy-oriented focus with a rich historical approach, combined with the application of basic legal reasoning.
