BIO 250 - Introduction to Animal Handling and Management

This course introduces the fundamental principles of modern animal management practices and biotechnology techniques as they apply to beef, dairy, poultry, sheep, swine, equine, companion, and exotic animal industries. Topics include animal nutrition, reproduction, genetics, behavior, welfare, and growth, with emphasis on the integration of science-based management for animal health and productivity. The laboratory component provides hands-on experience in animal handling, care, and management practices across many species and production systems
